Biographie Digital Dogs

Guzman Valdez est né au sein d'une riche famille Bolivienne. Le jour de ses 12 ans, il entendit par inadvertance une conversation entre son père et ses oncles dans le grenier du manoir familial où il cherchait son chaton espiègle qui s'y était caché. Il apprit ainsi que la fortune familiale était batie sur le trafic de drogue et que son père, ses oncles et cousins etaient de brutaux criminels et assassins. Traumatisé et effondré par cette nouvelle, il se glissa cette nuit là dans la chambre de son géniteur endormi, deroba les 2000$ que celui ci gardait toujours dans sa poche de pantalon, fourra quelques affaires et sa flûte andine dans un sac en peau de lama admirablement brodé, et s'enfuit dans la fraicheur de la nuit bolivienne. Aprés quelques jours et nuits de stupeur et de consternation dans la suite Aztèque de l'hotel Hilton de La Paz, il quitta le pays déguisé en nonne et se retrouva bientôt en route pour l'Europe à bord d'un cargo péruvien, payant largement son voyage avec ses derniers dollars et ses talents innés pour la flûte andine. Débarqué au Havre, il gagna rapidement Paris, où, sans le sou, il dormit sous les ponts de la Seine. L'hiver approchait mais heureusement son chemin croisa celui de Winston Corredigor et de Murphy Contact qui arpentaient les quais à la recherche d'un flutiste pour enregistrer la première version des Burrossophilies. Il fut receuilli par le duo compassionnel et ils furent enlevés peu de temps après par des extra-terrestres, un évènement dramatique qui entraina la formation du groupe Digital Dogs.

WINSTON CORREDIGOR

Winston Corredigor's real name is Corredigor Winston, from the Battle of Corregidor where his grandfather Jonathan Winston died heroically along with thousands of other americans, japanese an philippinos sacrified that day on the altar of war. His father, James Winston, apparently having scores to settle with his own, instead of naming the boy after his grandfather as is customary, named him after the fatal battle, mispelling it as he suffered from spelling dyslexia. Winston, or rather Corredigor, fascinated by his heroic grandfather joined the marines at age 20 but was soon dismissed from the corps after a regrettable incident involving a four star general's daughter, an armored jeep and a fawlty Tomahawk guided missile. If that incident marked the end of his budding military career, it allowed him to discover he had real musical talent and after cleverly changing his name to escape the MP sleuths, he fled to Europe where he studied the bass and the tympani, up until his meeting with Murphy Contact in 1999, who persuaded him that music held the secret of the universe, and led to his research into musicology, a field in which he now holds several diplomas and doctorates from the greatest planetary institutions.

Nothing is known of Murphy Contact as he refuses to answer questions about himself. Murphy Contact is probably not his real name.

On his 12th birthday, the astute lad, inadvertently eavesdropping on a private conversation between his father and uncles while chasing his pet kitten as it ran playfully into hiding into the Valdez mansion cellar, learnt that his family's fortune came from drug smuggling and that his father, his uncles and cousins were a bunch of brutal criminals and murderers. Profoundly affected and appalled by this revelation, he sneaked into his father's bedroom that night as the drug czar slumbered, stole the 2000$ in cash his genitor always kept in his trouser pocket ("A man with a grand is safe in this land" his father would always say), packed a few clothes and his favourite Andean flute in a small but lavishly embroidered lama hide rucksack and crept out into the Bolivian night. After a few days and nights of bewilderment and awe in the safety of the Aztec suite at the La Paz Hilton, he slipped out of the country disguised as a nun and soon found himself on his way to Europe on board a Peruvian cargo ship where his last dollars and talents on the Andean flute amply paid for his safe passage to Le Havre and then onto Paris where as a penniless stranger he slept under the bridges of the Seine. As winter crept onto the city of lights, he luckily ran into Murphy Contact and Winston Corredigor as they scoured the riverbanks searching for an apt flutist to record the first version of Burrossophilies. He was taken in by the compassionnate duo and soon afterwards they were all abducted by aliens, a dramatic turn of events that led to the formation of the now famed band Digital Dogs. Winston Corredigor s'appelle en réalité Corredigor Winston, d'après la Bataille de Corregidor où son grand père Jonathan Winston avait trouvé la mort en 1942 avec des milliers d'autres GI, philippins et japonais sacrifiés ce jour là sur l'autel de la guerre. Son père James Winston qui devait avoir des comptes à régler avec le sien,et des problèmes de dyslexie orthographique, prefera appeler son fils du nom de la bataille où celui ci était mort plutot que du prénom de son aïeul. Winston, ou plutôt Corredigor, fasciné par le souvenir de ce grand-père héroïque, s'engagea dans les marines le jour de ses 20 ans mais en fut vite renvoyé suite à un regrettable incident impliquant la fille d'un général haut-placé , une jeep blindée et un missile Tomahawk à tête chercheuse mal réglée. Si cet incident mit un terme à sa bourgeonnante carrière militaire, elle lui permit de découvrir qu'il possédait un réel talent pour la musique et après avoir habilement changé de nom pour échapper aux limiers de la Police Militaire, il s'enfuit pour l'Europe d'où il se consacra à l'étude solitaire de la basse et du tympani jusqu'à sa rencontre avec Murphy Contact en 1999, qui le persuada que la musique recelait le secret de l'univers et décida de sa vocation de chercheur en musicologie, discipline dont il possède plusieurs doctorats et diplômes des plus grandes institutions planètaires.
